Helmed by French-German Chef Eran Mayer, Artisan Boulangerie Compagnie is possibly my current favourite bakery. I didn’t manage to catch a glimpse of the baker this morning when I went down, but after having my tummy filled with those yummy croissants (honestly flaky pastries have got to be the best recipe invented ever), I did a quick search on him and found that his dreams of having bread as a staple in every household was in line with mine (except, of course I have no intention of opening a bakery, but I hope the french bakery scene in Singapore will become more established)
“Just like in Paris, I hope every house in Singapore has freshly baked loaves and baguettes. Bread is my universe.”
