When I receive a text from a brief friendship struck over a three hour train journey from Nice to Paris (because I got kicked out of my seat in the midst of the 8 hour journey- two hours extra due to the train strike) today, I was pleasantly surprised.
8438 miles away but I was still in her thoughts.
We celebrated my baby cousin’s sixteenth at Babette that serves a mix of Japanese and French dishes (what a fetching combination!). Located in Parc Sovereign hotel, it is a two minute walk from Chye Seng Huat Hardware, entrenched in the soon- taking its place along the likes of Bravery, Windowsill Pies to settle in the new hipster enclave that is Jalan Besar.
